Why I can't Support Dean
I believe that we are at war with a loosely associated group of terrorist organization. Howard Dean believes that we are not. I believe we have been at war since Reagan punked out and pulled our marines out of Lebanon. We refused to fight it for 20 years until 9/11. Bush decided to respond to this on going war by going on the offense instead of playing defense. His was right to due so, and Donald Rumsfeld has done an excellent job of managing it.
If Dean were elected, he like Reagan would punk out, and the terrorist would claim their victory. 3000 innocent civilian died on 9/11 every day Israeli civilians would be dying except for the extreme measures the IDF uses to protect its citizens. I won't vote for anyone who stupid enough to believe that Arafat deserved his Nobel.
Also Dean is just ignorant of reality. Internationalize Iraq, what the fuck does that mean. Bring in the 10,000 troops that Germany and France could maybe pull together and then put a Dutch General in charge of our 100k men that will still be on the ground in Iraq.
Another good effect of Saddam's Capture
Pro Saddam protest. If the sunni believe their best hope to help saddam is street protest then democracy it taking hold.
In the same northern Iraqi town yesterday, about 700 people rallied, chanting: "Saddam is in our hearts, Saddam is in our blood."
US soldiers and Iraqi policemen shouted back: "Saddam is in our jail."
In Falluja, another flashpoint of anti-US resistance west of Baghdad, crowds roamed the streets shouting pro-Saddam slogans such as: "We defend Saddam with our souls." After the Iraqi police withdrew from the streets, the crowd overran the mayor's office, a military statement said.
Another Small Victory in the War Against Terror
What is interesting is that at the same time we have a
report about 9/11 hijacker Mohammed Atta was trained in Baghdad by Palestinian terrorist Abu Nidal. Whether this is true in specifics or not it is now obvious to the intelligent observer that the linkage among terrorist exist and is natural, the
Tipping Point explains how these networks are made. Islamic terror is and idea virus like any other, and techniques for fighting idea viruses are what is needed to end it. Maybe one day I will sit down and figure out who are the mavens and who are the connectors of Islamic based terror.
