Understanding why The Matrix franchise lost it Steam
I am sure people will debate the details of The Matrix part 2 and 3 but most people will miss why they are lame. (not suck just lame.) The reason why Part 2 and 3 were lame was because they forgot what the point of the fist movie was.
What made the Matrix great was that it was a story about our world, about how You and I are all slaves. It wasn't some other world. The matrix was/is our world. What is the matrix ? Do you want to take the blue pill or the red pill. No matter how wonderful your world (1999 boom America ) you were still a slave. Would you give it all up to be free. Neo did, Cypher wouldn't that was the point.
At the end of the Matrix 1, neo had the power to destroy the agents that keep us docile and as slaves in the Matrix. He could fly, he could take over their bodies they way they took over humans. Morpheus freed him he could now free everyone else.
Unfortunately that whole story never happened. Instead we get, we must save Zion. WTF, that wasn't the story of the Matrix. If the goal was protecting Zion then they should have never sent their ships to the matrix. They could have remained safely hidden and no foul. One they changed the story to how do we save Zion the Matrix franchise was lost. Once they did that it became a lame war movie.
The point of the original Matrix is there is no spoon. The spoon you could see doesn't exist, but the prison you can't see does exist. Why they went so wrong, I don't know and I don't really care.
Take a break and get Dark City to tap back into what good/wild/ sci-fi is all about. To quote a friend who saw the original matrix after seeing Dark City. " I wish the matrix wasn't so simplistic and obvious, why couldn't it be more like Dark City".

Democrats finally get a clue
They have been screaming like castrati about give it to the UN when everyone knows that a joke since the UN couldn't even defend itself. So they finally came up with a good sounding proposal. Give it to NATO. Of course its a stupid and pointless plan but it does sound good.
